Ninia Bien Aimé
Ninia Bien Aimé, more commonly recognized by her pseudonym, Tipowèt, is a prominent Haitian writer, poet, and a distinguished graduate in Human Resources Management. She calls the vibrant city of Miami her home, but her roots run deep in Pòtoprens, Ayiti, where she was born and raised.
With an unwavering passion for crafting words and sharing stories, Tipowèt has dedicated herself to the written word, creating content that resonates with a diverse audience. Her literary journey has seen her works featured in three notable anthologies: “Slave to Heart’s Desire” in 2021, “Perplexed Core” in 2022, and “Patina of Life” in the same year, all published in India under the Spectrum of Thoughts.
In addition to her prolific writing career, Tipowèt holds a vital role as the General Secretary of Mèb Sèvo (Klèb Lekti), an organization committed to promoting Haitian Creole literature particularly in the diaspora.
Passionate about preserving and celebrating the beauty of the Creole language, Tipowèt is a dedicated advocate for linguistic freedom. Her poetry serves as a powerful instrument in this endeavor, which ultimately led her to publish her debut poetry collection in Haitian Creole, titled “Defile Akwifè”. With every verse, she continues to champion the cause of Creole language and culture, leaving an indelible mark on the literary landscape
